Knocking It Up a Gear…

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I think it’s time for a bit of a blurb to let you all know what’s been going on and what’s to come!

Over the last 2 months, I’ve been very busy with client work, it’ll be popping up on the front page of this site soon so if you’re interested to see the end result of this work keep an eye out for it! I’ve still got some more client work but this is less time consuming so I’m able to put time aside to work on my own Freelance stuff, fingers crossed I can talk about the current project soon!

I’ve been contacting my artists to let them know so I feel now is the time I can announce it a bit more officially; the Ommy-Stickers project has come to an end. It was really good fun working with other artists, but between health issues (R.S.I is a bitch), and the business model simply not working in a time where I need to be generating an income, I’ve had to wrap it up. It’s a shame but it may make a return one day down the line when I’ve got more resources to throw at it.

Now I’ve freed up more time to focus on my own work – with this time I plan to get the Etsy shop updated with a LOT more listings, I’ve also begun talks with a printer about printing and cutting my stickers which will allow me more time for design rather than burning days cutting stuff out by hand. I’ve also begun looking into other products I can embrace. I love stickers, I love making them, I love selling them, and I love seeing people use them, but I think it would be awesome if I could provide a wider range of products, T-Shirts are a must, I’m currently looking into them, and I’d love to release something fun like a colouring book sometime soon too. I’m also quite excited to be researching Pin Badges! I’d love to sell pins of some of my designs! This is currently all up in the air though and mostly knocking about in my head so I’ll have to do a future update once I’ve gotten things nailed down!

I know right?! After I moved house it took a while to get things setup and get myself back into the swing of things, at the same time I lost some important overlay files for my software and that totally stunted my motivation. Fear not though! I plan to return to streaming again soon! This time I’ll be streaming more than just pixel art too! Now I’ve got my Ugee I’m able to stream digital art work too, plus I like the idea of doing a gaming stream from time to time, play some of the classics maybe!

I understand, but I feel I need to uniform all my sites together and start focusing my efforts, I do well at conventions but in the down time between them, I need to unify my networks, YouTube, Facebook, Etsy, Instagram and so on and grow my “brand”. Things may change a few times, I tend to throw stuff at a wall and see what sticks so-to-speak but hopefully, this’ll result in an online presence I can be proud of 🙂

The Anime and Gaming Con Cardiff last weekend was the most successful convention stall I’ve ever run, I met old customers and new, people were all lovely and kind, I sold out of multiple designs, some of them twice after a speedy reprint between the two days! I just want to say thank you to the people who came to my table at the con, not just the people who bought stuff (although seriously, thank you guys, hope you like your stickers!) but those who had a nice chat, who made me feel welcome and revitalised my motivation and pride in my work. Thanks to all of you 🙂

Right! Time to get back to work! I gotta dust off a very out of date Facebook page ASAP!

Speak soon you sexy peeps!
